An extension of Panch Phoron Indian 5 spice, it is commonly used as a rub for fish or chicken, added to Indian vegetarian stews, sprinkled on vegetables, or used for pickling vegetables. Some may prefer noting the seed ingredients which when used as a traditional Panch Phoron involves frying the whole spices in oil or ghee until they “pop”. Combine with vegetables or meat in the pan.
Ingredients – Cumin, Fennel Seed, Nigella Seed, Fenugreek, Celery Seed, Ajwain Seed, Mustard Seeds, Chilli, Oregano, Saffron.
